Be The Change

Wanting to serve others and make a difference in the world seems to be prevalent in many people's lives. I want to learn how to "Be the change" and affect humanity for the good. Having a career as a social entrepreneur is not for everyone. Some do know how to take their ideas and create innovative products and services. Others will find organizations that are already in existence to work for/with. Many will volunteer to serve social entrepreneurs and existing organizations.

Fabio Rosa is an inspirational social engineer. Through decades of vision, service, and hard work he brought electricity and solar to rural communities in Brazil. Rosa's determination to succeed is truly amazing. The stumbling blocks in Rosa's path he used as stepping stones to create his visions. I loved reading about Rosa!

Jeffrey Thompson in, What is Your Calling in Life?, for students attending Brigham Young University to let go of anxiety when considering the answer to that question. Thompson talked about the influence of Martin Luther that people should embrace the situation they are in and use the gifts they have. Rosa did exactly that, he "bloomed where he was planted." Thompson dispelled the heresy of a person only having one true calling and encouraged the students to know what their gifts were and to use them.
